BICSI, a global leader in the information and communications technology (ICT) industry, launched a digital transformation to expand and modernize its online offerings. A key initiative was upgrading their e-commerce capabilities to better support the sale of training courses, publications, manuals, and standards.

HD Fusion, leading the implementation, selected BigCommerce to power the new platform — a decision that required a detailed and strategic setup of BICSI’s entire product catalog.

  • BICSI initiated a broad digital transformation to expand its reach and improve access to learning and standards resources. A cornerstone of this effort was a major e-commerce upgrade to support global sales of courses, manuals, and industry publications.

    HD Fusion selected BigCommerce as the e-commerce platform and led the effort to migrate and restructure BICSI’s extensive product catalog — a process that demanded precision in setup, organization, and user flow optimization.

    • As Content Manager for the BICSI e-commerce upgrade, I led the setup of over 114 courses and 20+ manuals and standards in BigCommerce’s sandbox.

    • I collaborated with marketing to gather and integrate product images, and partnered with course managers to ensure every listing met BICSI’s content and compliance standards. My responsibilities included collecting and creating all content within BigCommerce, ensuring that each product was accurately represented and met BICSI's standards.

    • I managed all content creation within BigCommerce, ensuring accuracy and clarity across product listings.

    • I handled QA testing pre-launch and coordinated a smooth go-live transition to the production environment.

    • Post-launch, I continue managing content updates, integrating new courses, and creating clear training documentation to support BICSI’s internal teams in maintaining the system.

    • The platform now delivers a seamless integration between BICSI.org and Shop.bicsi.org, enhancing global user experience. Customers benefit from an intuitive cart system, complete with abandoned cart recovery and other advanced BigCommerce features.

    • The extensive catalog of over 114 courses and more than 20 manuals and standards is organized and easily navigable, allowing users to find and purchase products with ease. This modernized ecommerce platform not only streamlines the purchasing process but also strengthens BICSI's digital presence, positioning them for continued growth in the industry.
