The LMS was custom-built in-house after evaluating — and ultimately bypassing — out-of-the-box options. We focused on building only the features we needed, streamlining development and minimizing complexity.

The platform supports live, self-study, and facilitated courses and includes unique functionality that set it apart from competitors. During my tenure, we delivered consistent improvements, launching from MVP to version 1.4.

  • After nearly 40 years, we recognized the need to rebrand — visually, strategically, and technologically. The LMS was central to this transformation. To remain competitive with modern platforms, we committed to building a system that could deliver a superior learning experience and reinforce our updated brand identity.

    • Partnered with an external vendor to design the new LMS using rapid prototyping

    • Collaborated with instructors to revise and upload learning content for 60+ courses

    • Conducted user interviews to identify pain points, including low course completion rates

    • Performed QA testing on key LMS features: embedded video player, note-taking tool, discussion boards, and participant list

    • Populated and organized content across 100+ virtual classrooms

    • Led help desk staff in building internal training to support LMS adoption

    • Collected and analyzed platform metrics (time in app, completion rates, user satisfaction)

    • Delivered the project on time and under budget

    • Accelerated course delivery by 35 days through improved content management and process efficiency

    • Increased registration from 3,000 to 4,000 post-launch

    • Boosted membership from 10,000 to 10,500 after LMS release

Built as part of my Product Management coursework at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, this canvas was adapted using the Business Model Generator. It helped identify core value propositions and shape our LMS strategy.

Roadmap Document

ICreated a comprehensive product master plan, detailing the full vision from ideation through each release milestone. Served as a central source of truth for planning, execution, and alignment.

Classroom Landing Page

Designed a custom, welcoming classroom experience. Featured a CEO message to set tone, build trust, and deliver key course info upfront.

Value Map

This visual map breaks down a specific value proposition into products, pain relievers, and gain creators — providing clarity on user impact and platform direction..

Wireframes

Iterated on wireframes initially built by an external vendor, modifying them based on team feedback and insights from trusted users.

Course Video Player

Organized all content under intuitive tabs to streamline access to lecture materials. Designed for clarity, simplicity, and learner focus.

Customer Profile

Mapped the needs, motivations, and risks for one of our target personas. Green notes = tasks, pink = goals, blue = friction points. This helped us prioritize product decisions with empathy and precision.

User Stories

Authored clear, functional user stories with acceptance criteria — used to guide MVP development and align stakeholders on user expectations.

Course Discussion Board

Enabled discussion for facilitated courses to increase engagement and interaction. The MVP version emphasized ease-of-use and clarity for first-time users.
